Harakah Method
16-week integrative clinical treatment for the Muslim woman.
Rooted in Islamic Medicine, supported by Health Science.
You're exhausted, in a way that sleep doesn't touch. Wired yet drained, foggy, running on empty. Your body feels depleted in ways you can't explain, your mind won't rest, and somewhere beneath it all, your heart feels distant and disconnected. You're doing everything you're supposed to. And still, something is wrong.
You've felt it for a long time now. But every time you've reached for help, you've been met with the same words: "It's just stress." "It's just your age." "Your bloods are normal, there's nothing to worry about." Patched up, prescribed something, sent on your way. Never truly listened to. Never looked at deeper. Never seen as a whole.
So you carry it alone. You piece together what you can, a supplement here, an article there, fragments of advice that never quite fit. Wellness that forgets your faith. Faith that offers no practical answers. Medicine with no soul, and spirituality with no science. Nothing that holds all of you at once.
This is the gap Harakah Clinic was created to fill, by reviving a way of healing we were never meant to forget. Your symptoms are taken seriously and traced to their true root through clinical assessment and functional testing. You're treated as a whole, through therapeutic nutrition, bespoke herbal remedies, lifestyle prescriptions, and Islamic psychology, woven into one personalised protocol. Rooted in Islamic Medicine, supported by Health Science. Body, heart and soul, healed the way our tradition always knew.
Our StorY
Reviving a healing tradition we were never meant to forget…
We have access to more medical information than any generation before us. And yet chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, nervous system dysregulation, and spiritual emptiness are more common than ever.
Because we keep treating the parts. Never the whole.
Ibn Sīnā didn't just study the body. Al-Ghazālī didn't just study the soul. Ibn al-Qayyim didn't just study the heart. They understood that you cannot separate them — that inflammation affects the mind, that a heavy heart disrupts the body, that a disconnected soul makes rest impossible, and that true healing is always a return to our fitrah.
This isn't philosophy. It's medicine. And it has been ours for over fourteen centuries.
Somewhere along the way, we outsourced our healing to systems that were never built to understand us fully. Faced with illness, we turn straight to conventional medicine first — when Allah ﷻ is the Healer, and He placed shifāʾ in what He created. The wisdom of Islamic medicine quietly faded. Spiritual wellbeing slipped out of the conversation, the instinct to first turn to natural remedies was lost — and with it, part of our very identity as Muslims.
Harakah Clinic exists to restore what was lost — to bring Islamic medicine back into practice, revive our rich healing heritage, and to care for you the way our tradition always did: as one whole being, body, heart, and soul, never as separate parts.
Not spiritual advice with no practical answers. Not clinical care stripped of any soul. But both, woven together — timeless Islamic healing translated into structured, modern care that actually changes how you feel.
This is the heart of everything we do.
What we do
Healing that honours all of you...
Harakah Clinic does not rely on symptom guessing or generic, one-size-fits-all protocols. Every plan is assessment-led and lab-informed — built around your unique pattern of dysregulation, depletion and imbalance, not a diagnosis label alone.
For every concern, you are seen across three dimensions — deeply connected, always treated together:
Your body · Al-jism · اَلْجِسْم
What is the physical root?
Fatigue, sleep, energy — addressed and analysed at the root through functional health assessment, not patched over at the surface. Supported by naturopathic approaches and health sciences.Your heart · Al-qalb · اَلْقَلْب
What is the emotional root?
Stress, anxiety, overwhelm, emotional heaviness — held through Islamic psychology and evidence-based lifestyle medicine.Your soul · Ar-ruh · اَلرُّوح
What is the spiritual root?
Disconnection, spiritual fatigue, a heart that feels far — gently reconnected through Islamic and Prophetic medicine, at the very centre of your care.
Most approaches chase symptoms; the Harakah Method looks deeper. Through personalised functional testing, we can assess your nutrient status, inflammation and immune markers, and the hidden drivers behind stress and fatigue, so your treatment targets the true root cause, not just the symptoms.
Then we interpret it all within an integrative Islamic framework — so your healing is grounded in real data and real meaning. Prophetic medicine and functional science, working together to uncover the cause of what's really going on — this is what makes Harakah Clinic an integrative faith-based clinical practice.
This is the heart of Harakah Clinic…
Islamic Medicine is the centre that everything else orbits. Every protocol returns to the qalb (heart), to maqsad (purpose), and to the One who heals — Allah, ash-Shāfī (اَلشَّافِي). Your faith isn't an add-on to your care. It is where your healing begins. The Journey
delivered through our proprietary H.E.A.L. clinical framework…
Holistic Assessment
Evaluation & Diagnostics
Alchemical Remedies & Therapeutics
Longitudinal Protocols
Phase 1 · Holistic Assessment
Weeks 1–2
We begin with an in-depth clinical consultation and a comprehensive whole-person assessment — a full case history across your physical health, emotional state, lifestyle and spiritual wellbeing. Where clinically indicated, functional lab testing is arranged to investigate the root causes beneath your symptoms. You leave this phase truly heard and understood — with the first foundations of your treatment protocol already underway.
Phase 2 · Evaluation & Diagnostics
Weeks 3–4
Your functional test results are interpreted in depth and integrated with your full clinical picture. From this, I formulate your complete personalised treatment protocol — therapeutic nutrition, bespoke herbal remedies and blends prepared for you, targeted supplement protocols, lifestyle prescriptions, Islamic psychology, and Prophetic and spiritual practices. Every remedy and intervention is prescribed for you, and delivered in your own clinical protocol.
Phase 3 · Alchemical Remedies & Therapeutics
Weeks 5–13
This is the heart of the work. Weekly 1-1 consultations guide you through your treatment, with ongoing clinical support between sessions. Your healing protocol is implemented, monitored and refined as your body responds — adjusted week by week across a full treatment window long enough for real, physiological change to take hold. You're supported, accountable, and never left to do it alone.
Phase 4 · Longitudinal Protocols
Weeks 14–16
We evaluate your progress, revisit your markers, and where clinically useful, retest to evidence the change. Together we consolidate your results into a sustainable, independent protocol — so your healing holds long after the programme ends, and you carry it forward with confidence.

Who’s it for
The Harakah Method is for you if…
You're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't touch — drained, depleted, and dismissed with "it's just stress" or "your bloods are normal."
You're battling persistent fatigue, chronic stress, broken sleep, anxiety or overwhelm — and you know in your body that something deeper is being missed.
You've cycled through GP appointments, prescriptions and quick fixes, patched up and sent away, while the root of the problem goes unexamined.
You're spiritually aware yet physically depleted — doing everything "right," and still not well.
You're done treating symptoms in isolation, and ready to uncover and address the root cause — clinically, and for good.
You want to be treated as a whole person — body, heart and soul — by a practitioner who holds both the deen and the science, with neither compromised.
You're ready to commit to real, lasting change — a structured clinical process, not another fleeting fix.
Your practitioner
With duas, Humaira…
My story really begins with my own health.
For as long as I can remember, I was unwell — run down, depleted, my body constantly fighting something it could never quite win against. Relentless infections, raging fevers, debilitating coughs that left me drained for weeks, the kind of deep exhaustion and weakness that no amount of rest could touch. I lost count of the GP visits: the same waiting rooms, the same rushed appointments, the same outcome — another course of antibiotics, another "let's see how you go." Over the years it ran into hundreds of prescriptions, two operations, months of waiting on lists, and still no real answer.
I did everything I was told. I took what I was given. And still, nothing changed. I'd start to feel better again, only to be knocked back down weeks later — sicker, weaker, more depleted than before. It was exhausting, not just physically, but the sheer helplessness of it. The feeling of being passed along, patched up, and sent away, while no one stopped to ask the one question I couldn't stop asking myself: why does this keep happening to me?
Why were we silencing symptoms and treating parts of me, but never once looking beneath it all — at why my body kept struggling in the first place, or how to actually restore it? Conventional medicine, for all it can do, never got to the root. And I was living proof.
It was during my Aalimiyyah studies that something first shifted. Six years immersed in the richness of our Islamic tradition — revered scholars, timeless texts, profound wisdom — and in those final years, I came across the chapters on tibb, our Islamic and Prophetic medicine. Something in me lit up. Here, in our books, fourteen hundred years ago, was a complete science of healing — the body, the mind, the heart and the soul, treated as one, never apart. I saw how the Qur'an and the Sunnah speak of shifāʾ as healing for the whole of us — for the body, and for what lies within the chest, the physical and the spiritual, never divided. But the more I studied it, the more I realised something painful: we had let it fade. This beautiful, sophisticated tradition — neglected, forgotten — and with it, a part of our very identity as Muslims.
That curiosity never left me. Through my health sciences degree, and in my own reading and courses long after lectures ended, I kept pulling the thread — and a whole world opened up.
I discovered the Muslim physicians of our golden age — the giants who shaped the very foundations of modern medicine. Ibn Sīnā (Avicenna), whose Canon of Medicine was studied in European universities for six hundred years. Al-Rāzī (Rhazes), who first distinguished one disease from another with astonishing clinical precision. Al-Zahrāwī (Albucasis), the father of surgery, whose instruments we still recognise today. Ibn al-Nafīs, who described the circulation of blood through the lungs four centuries before the West would claim it. And so many more — scholars and healers whose pioneering work built the very ground modern medicine stands on, yet whose names have been quietly written out of our textbooks and our history. These were believers, working from the Qur'an and Sunnah, who mapped the body, catalogued remedies, pioneered treatments, and understood health in ways the world would take centuries to catch up to.
And what moved me most was that they never treated the body alone. Over a thousand years ago, Abū Zayd al-Balkhī wrote of the Sustenance of the Soul — describing anxiety, obsessive thoughts and depression, and how to treat them, centuries before modern psychology claimed them as its own. Scholars like Al-Ghazālī, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim and Imām al-Suyūtī wrote deeply on the heart, the soul, the nafs, and Prophetic medicine — mapping the inner world with the same care the physicians gave the body. Body and soul, medicine and meaning, never divided. This was their genius: they understood the human being as a whole.
And it wasn't only their knowledge that struck me — it was how they healed. I learned about the bimaristans, the great hospitals of the Islamic world, centuries ahead of their time, built not as sterile wards but as places of true healing: arranged around open courtyards and gardens, cooled by running water and fountains, filled with the sounds of Qur'an and nature. Here, mental and emotional wellbeing were treated as seriously as physical illness — never apart from it — with patients cared for through diet, herbs, rest, and environment as much as medicine — the physical, the emotional and the spiritual cared for as one, with connection to Allah at the very centre. This was an integrated system of healthcare, whole-person medicine in its truest form. And it was ours. Extraordinary — and almost entirely forgotten.
Meanwhile, my degree was teaching me the science of the body — and I loved it. Human biology and physiology, the workings of cells and systems, the mechanisms of health and disease, public health, the brain and mental health, and the evidence behind how we treat it all. The precision of it, the way every symptom could be traced back to a biological process, the body as something that could be measured, mapped and explained. Modern medicine and health science are extraordinary; they name our conditions, decode our biology, and save lives every day.
But the longer I studied, the more I felt the edges of what science alone could reach. It was all surface. All body, no heart. We learned to name conditions and target symptoms, but never to ask what the whole person was carrying. And I saw it everywhere I looked — the woman exhausted no matter how she slept, the one whose bloods came back "normal" while she felt anything but, the stress and anxiety sitting beneath the symptoms, the quiet disconnect no test could ever name. Science could explain the what, but it struggled with the why. It could treat the body, but it fell silent on the heart, and it had nothing to say about the soul. And I couldn't unsee it — because I was that whole person the system had never truly seen.
So I began to ask the questions that became Harakah Clinic:
Why do we silence the symptom, and never treat the root cause beneath it?
Why have we forgotten the wisdom of healing, and the remedies Allah placed in His creation — in nourishment, in nature, in the way we live?
And how can we seek true healing, without caring for the heart and soul, and turning to ash-Shāfī, the One who heals?
Harakah Clinic is my answer — and, I pray, part of reviving something we were never meant to lose.
I sit at a rare meeting point: a qualified Islamic scholar (Aalimiyyah) and hāfidhah of the Qurʾān, and a health sciences graduate (BSc Hons), with training in Islamic Psychology & Counselling, Lifestyle Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, and Functional Medicine. Few practitioners can hold both the deen and the science with this fluency — and it's exactly this that lets me care for you as a whole being: body, heart and soul, the way our tradition always did.
